Hey look, it’s another Mega Man port… for mobile devices

It’s been six years since we’ve had a brand new Mega Man title, with the last two titles in development being canceled (Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe). While fans have been hoping for a new game in the series, what we’ve come to see is Capcom just re-releasing the original six games over and over on just about every platform available, including iOS and Android devices next month.

Capcom recently announced Mega Man Mobile 1-6 and it’s not off to a great start. The trailer released for the game looks a bit sluggish and choppy in some areas, which has led Capcom to disabling comments on the video. Hopefully, this is just from the way the video is edited or maybe the issue will be fixed around the time the game is released. While the game has an on-screen control pad that includes a quick switch ability, jump, and shoot buttons, hopefully it will offer users to pair a wireless controller.

Each game will be sold separately for $1.99, which is actually a pretty good deal if you’ve somehow have managed to never pick up a single collection at this point.

With Capcom announcing they will be focusing on older IPs, let’s hope it means actual new Mega Man games over more ports of already released games because it’s getting very old at this point.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite News On Characters, Release Date & More

Capcom dropped a bomb when it unveiled Marvel vs Capcom Infinite at the PlayStation Experience this 2016. Fans can’t help but express their excitement when it was announced, but will have to endure the excruciatingly long wait before the official release. Fret not, here’s an ultimate guide of characters, information and more that has been released so far.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Gameplay And Characters

It has been revealed at the PlayStation Experience this year that Iron Man and Captain Marvel will be in the game. They will represent the Marvel side. Meanwhile, Ryu and Mega Man X lead the Capcom side. In addition, Captain America and Morrigan are included in the impressive roster.
There had been speculations that X-Men and other Fantastic Four heroes will appear in the game. However, it seems this will not be possible due to Marvel’s issues with 20th Century Fox. Nevertheless, fans can still hope that Magneto, Sentinel and other famous characters will be included in the game.

Also, Polygon revealed that there are talks about the inclusion of Ant-Man and Groot in the game. Even more, it is heard through the grapevine that Rocket Raccoon and Doctor Strange will be appearing in the game as well.
The Delayed Hyper Combos will be making a comeback. Furthermore, there will be a two-versus-two battle format in the game. This is a big change compared to the three-versus-three format in the first Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. Unfortunately, the assists won’t be returning in Infinite.

Release Date And Development

The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Meanwhile, Capcom revealed that they are looking into a 2017 release. However, nothing is set in stone yet until the studio finishes beta testing. Fans can expect that the studio is working on developing the best installment yet in the franchise.

The first stills released by the game giant feature a promising look at what’s to come. The crisp visuals, and high-definition graphics add to the excitement of the enthusiasts in playing the game. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite looks very promising. The long wait might just be worth it.

Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite’s Story mode will be a “Huge Pillar”

A new video appeared on the YouTube channel of PlayStation that has shed light on what will be one of the fundamental aspects of Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite, presented at the beginning of December at the PlayStation Experience 2016.

According to Michael Evans, Director of Production at the US subsidiary of Capcom, the story mode of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite will play a very important role. This was stated on the official PlayStation YouTube channel: “Another huge pillar of the game is going to be the story. For the first time, we’re getting to tell the story of how the worlds come together.”

Two characters in particular will play a very important role: “Mega Man X is going to fit very deeply into the story along with Captain Marvel,” explained Michael Evans of Capcom

Mike Jones of Marvel Games also discussed about the characters that were chosen this time around: “new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how our characters meet and what that means, [that] drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use.”
“If you want to enjoy a story that features all these characters that you wouldn’t see in any other Marvel game, or any other Capcom game. This is where you’re gonna see, you know, Mega Man X meets Iron Man,” explained Mike Jones.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite will be released in 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Plot Details Revealed; How Mega Man X Is Going To Fit Into The Story

Fans went crazy when Capcom announced that they were working on a fourth Marvel vs. Capcom game and new characters have also been revealed like Mega Man X and Captain Marvel. News has it that the game will also focus more on the story this time around - which makes a whole big difference since the previous games in the franchise had very little to do with a continuous story.

According to Gaming Bolt, Capcom's Michael Evans talked a bit about Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and he said that "Another huge pillar of the game is going to be the story. For the first time, we're getting to tell the story of how the worlds come together. Mega Man X is going to fit very deeply into the story along with Captain Marvel."

No details have been revealed about exactly how X will be integral to the story, but since he is part of a sort of robot police force, it's possible he could be brought in to try and fix the balance between the two worlds. This plot sounds very similar to that of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe where the game tried to justify the crossover between MK and DC heroes, but since Capcom basically started the entire crossover fighting genre with X-Men vs. Street Fighter back in 1996, fans won't be that harsh on the decision.

So far, the fans only know a few things about Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite but it has been confirmed that the character roster will include Ryu, Morrigan, and Mega Man X from Capcom and Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Captain America from Marvel. The announce trailer also revealed that a new fighting mechanic has been introduced to the game, and it will have something to do with the Infinity Stones. In the trailer, characters were able to wield the stones and they were granted specific power-ups based on the type of stone that they possessed.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC come 2017.
